Pretty much every one of them is just an affluent suburb of a major city. Nobody could possibly know every little suburb of every city in the US, which is why so many of the names are foreign.

Exactly - Fox Chapel, for example, is just a suburb of Pittsburgh. The only reason I know that is because I live in Pittsburgh.

North Scottsdale (Arizona) would be competitive with Paradise Valley is it wasn't lumped in with the rest of Scottsdale.

I never could find Hidden Spring in Idaho or Hidden Hills in California. Must be nice places, but well hidden.

came into this thread expecting chevy chase, md, was not disappointed.

i'm in the same county and about 10 minutes from there, but not a chance i could afford it. it's basically the border between md and northwest dc (the rich/nice part of dc), and it's right by the beltway that takes you to va and that goes around dc as well.

our friends bought a house there about 3 years ago, and told me that they bought the house because they dropped the price by $190k. the sale price was $800k. they are a couple who were about 28 and 29 at the time they purchased the house. no clue how they afforded it. my wife is best friends with the woman and the only conclusion she has come to is that her husband had to have a huge inheritance of some sort.

I was expecting Potomac then Bethesda then CC.

I don't know how accurate that site is wiki says different.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $99,520, and the median income for a family was $127,254. Males had a median income of $87,688 versus $56,411 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $60,893. About 0.4% of families and 2.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 0.9% of those under age 18 and 2.4% of those age 65 or ov

Are we looking at the same map? In the bottom half I see:

Piney Pointe Village, TX - $233k
Hidden Hills, CA - $250k
Belle Meade, TN - $213k

Don't see any 77k place either in the lower half. In fact, of the lowest ranked 10 states on the list, 7 of them are on the upper half of the states.

you cant read can you

Ah, fuck Belle Meade...their police suck, and they're nothing more than a neighborhood in terms of size. They actually make a point to pull you over when you go 31 in the perpetual 30mph limit and tell you that they pulled you over for doing 1mph over.

Hell, it wouldn't even be a city if it wasn't populated by the super rich. It's only about 3 miles in area.

LOL, that's a sign to you that you don't belong there.

We have a lot of private Police forces around here that cater to the wealthy, Manalapan, Ocean Ridge, Sewell's Point, Island of Palm Beach, etc.

Some take it a little too far like when one of those types pulled a gun on my wife and I for going to our bank on 'their' island. At the time there was only two CitiBank locations and that was by far the closest.

I drove a little old Saturn SC2 back then that was setup for the track...probably not the car of choice to be driving around the Rolls Royce types :)

In Florida because there is so much immigrant/immigration population and the like it skews our numbers.

Many of the largest / most expensive homes in the US are right here. My morning commute has me driving right by them :)

I am past the $129k median for Indian River Shores here, but no way could I afford a real home there and support my life as there is none of my industry there. What you have is multi-millionaires and basic retail there.

Berkeley Lake is around 5 minutes from where I live. I don't get the impression that it's the most affluent town.

It's because it's so small, and mostly single family homes. Drive through there and you see a huge amount of large homes and nothing else.

See the right column, for the bottom half of the states.

Ah, alles klar. I though you were talking about the bottom half of the map, not the list.

Median income is a poor metric to use to determine affluence anyway. Net worth would tell a more accurate story.

That's actually really funny. There's a reason why I know about the police and their asinine behavior. Btw, you can be a resident and get pulled over. It does tend to happen quite a bit.

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some, people out there in our nation don't have maps and I believe that our education like such as South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future.

I doubt the rich residents get pulled over, bro.
