Man, there goes another of the truly great comic minds.
Rest peacefully, Richard. I'm sure there's a new act in heaven tonight.

Andy Kaufman finally has someone to open for.

Richard Pryor was NOT in blazing saddles, fvckstick
No, he just helped write the damn thing, dickwad.

edit: Oh and I believe he WAS supposed to be Bart but the movie couldn't be made with him because he was too raw or something like that...

wow, I resent calling you a fvckstick. That's great info. I did not realize he was one of the writers. Please accept my appology

RIP - And thanks for the laughs.
Richard Pryor was one of the best comics ever. His earlier works are the best.

"Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today, to pay our last respects to this here dearly departed. He was dearly, and he is departed...."

Apology accepted, but you're still a dickwad! 😛 I checked on IMDB to be sure and they do say he WAS supposed to play Bart, but Mel had trouble getting financing with Pryor attached to the movie.

His quality of life had to be horrible the past few years, so in a way I'm glad he's free from the torment now.
RIP Richard. I didn't agree with your lifestyle (especially the running away from women you impregnanted to avoid personal responsibility) but you were definitely a funny guy.

He was the greatest comedian of all time according to many current comedians. He was so quick witted. My father first turned me on to him back in high school, now I've gotten many of my college friends quoting him. I value all of his albums even more now. I'll miss you Rich.
