This is true however we werent in a publically advertised manhunt of OBL either. We had several opportunities to get OBL but Clarke got in the way on more than one occasion.

Actually, CIA director Porter Goss came out a few days ago and said OBL's location is very well known, but we can't act on the intelligents because of the sensitive location he's in...

But why do we keep spilling the beans on OBL? My theory is, it's not like we can just swoop in and take him... he's very heavily guarded... and it's not like we can just invade Iran or Syria or even Pakistan and get him... our next best weapon besides kill or capture is to keep this fanatic on the run...

We were watching a vacation compound of royalty of UAE in afghanistan and OBL stayed there many a night. But they were worried if they attacked the place it could kill the prince which would be a political nightmare. So they waited and hoped the prince would leave so they could strike. Clarke ended up making a phone call to the prince about seeing OBL at his compound and the place was taken down and OBL never seen again.

How stupid do you have to be to let people know you are watching OBL at their compound? You think the prince had OBL stay there because he hates him?

i find it unlikely that clarke is as stupid as the explanation you are providing based on the report - he just doesn't seem to be that stupid. there must be more going on than meets the eye here that we have no way of knowing. maybe my tinfoil hat is showing...
