Straight axle (debatable, many don't consider the Corvette a muscle car)
Straight axle? As opposed to what other kind?

Independant. Like the Corvette's rear suspension.

Straight axle? Shouldn't that have been Live axle instead? Straight axle is what used to be in the front of antique cars wasn't it? You know for steering. In the 50's & 60's people would put straight axles on their 57 chevies and think they are cool.

Live axle is gocarts. There is no differential in a live axle.

A straight or solid axle has tubes that bear the weight of the vehicle above it. Examples are the ford 9", dana 60, chevy 12 bolt, ect.

I replaced my injectors in my truck to 100lb units. Fuel is good :D ( well, except to my wallet :) )

no wonder you get 9 mpg

;)

I wonder if that includes the purchase price...

Even if it does, for $25K you could have a damn fast SS Camaro or possibly even a MkIV Supra.

Viper GTS

uhhh... i have seen many a ricer swap their fuel injectors for bigger ones. The Mustang 5.0's are a favorite.

Fuel injectors does look a bit out of the ordinary in the list when you put it against stickers, body kits, and spoilers. Those are all done on a regular basis. You don't need to mess with the fuel injectors unless you've done some significant engine work.
Exactly.

The author is saying that the cars do not originally come with 'transplanted engines, spoilers, body kits, decals, fuel injectors', but people add them 'to make a traditionally inexpensive import car into a unique and artistic machine'.
