It is time for me to get a new rice cooker, because the nonstick lining of my rice cooker started to get scratch from 3-4 days of uses per week.

I only have been using National/Panasonic cookers and it has serve me well, however I have heard that Zojirushi are quite good as well.
 
See if you can find an asian grocery in your area. There are a couple around here and all carry rice steamers. I'm sure they probably only sell the brands that work well... (you don't have to buy there for the markups. Just check what brands they carry in the name or research!)
 
we have an aroma one(i don't remember the size) that someone got us from costco.

it also steams food in the top half while you make rice.

we like it.
