RIAA Hit List

No, but I think I might be on the MPAA's hit list. The last two days, I've blocked attempts from the MPAA trying to connect to my system.

I had no p2p programs open at the time either. I'm not sure why they're attempting to connect to my system, I've never shared movies/etc on my box. Maybe they're just scanning my ISP, but I AM behind a firewall, peerguardian blocks connect attempts, not attempts made by portscanners like a firewall.

I'm running a program called PeerGuardian. I don't have the URL offhand (it's methlab.something). You load it with a list of IP addresses (user submitted, vote on good/bad ranges) and it blocks any connections from those IPs.

I don't share files on my pc as a rule and very rarely start up the p2p apps, but I also have peerguardian set to stop connections from Doubleclick, so it runs all the time. The log shows MPAA connection attempts blocked four times, both today and yesterday.
 
that's a rather short list.....why those people inparticular?

haven't used Kazaa in months....and it's always just for one song.

Theres proof that peer guardian blocks connection every 400ms So it wont block everything
