My friend has a question for everyone:

"I need a rheostat, or two, for 2 Adda fans, the ultra speed 50 cfm mofos. Each one is rated for 0.45 amps and 5.4 watts. I'm having trouble finding rheostats that can handle that and I'd like to use one rheostat, if possible. Where can I buy something like this?"

If anyone can help him out I'd appreciate it.

good luck, I had a hell of a time looking for these little suckers.

I finally settled for the radio shack 3 watt, 25 ohms rheostats, they were about 3 bucks each, of course, 3 watts is not good enough for your project.

this might help you.

also here i think it's the same thing.

here are some info and guides

and I just did , it kicks buttthis one

good luck! of course there are a lot more guides, and rheobus kits you can buy.

side note, your fan is 5.4 watts, now I have about 3.5 watts hooked up to my 3 watt rheostats, I can tell you, it does get hot, but not burning hot. so maybe the 5 watt ones are good enough for 1 fan.
