Years ago I was sleeping and woke up to a version of Rhapsody In Blue performed by an avant garde East European jazz band. Do any of you have any idea who they were? It was a sweet arrangement, but the information I've provided is about all I have to go on :^( I was very sleepy so I don't remember much. The track seemed to be on the longish side, so it might have been the full version. I'd say it was at least 7+ minutes. Any ideas?

I think I have heard just the one you are talking about and was never able to find it either. I hope someone can point us to it.

Geez, I can hum that entire thing. My dad was a jazz musician and, in his second career where he played just for special events, decided to make it part of a professional pianists concert. He practiced it more than any other piece I can remember, mostly while I was falling asleep. :)
