Is there such a device that would enable my PC to have a RGB (monitor) INPUT?

Meaning I could connect my laptop RGB Output to a DESKTOP RGB Input? Thanks

If you could find such a device, it would be very expensive. Depending on what you want to do, you might be able to find a monitor with two RGB (I believe the proper term here is HD15) switchable inputs.

Basically it would be tricky to do so as the IN/Outs for RGB is meant for the Vid to Monitor. Most Vid cards do not have the RGB so and adapter/patch cord is used which actually defeats the purpose for enhanced visual esp @ lower resoulutions....so my question is why and for what resean would you want the PC to internally accept RGB signals?

Sorry people. Maybe I have confuse u guys.

here the thing.

There is one laptop, a desktop and a dvd player.

I want to connect what is exactly display on my laptop and my dvdplayer to the desktop. Meaning in the desktop, u could see two resizable window. One showing dvd content and the other my laptop content.

This is because I would only need to control the desktop for either to give full screen on the dvd player or just a small screen along with the laptop screen as the background.

The laptop would be use to adjust powerpoint slides....

thanks

It may not be exactly what you're wanting, and it may be kind of sluggish, but it won't cost three arms and legs... try VNC. :)
