Rex Tillerson: Russia already meddling in U.S. midterm elections

At worst trump is a traitor, at best he's neglected to do his job which is to protect the country from invaders, foreign and domestic.

Since this is technically a states issue I hope each state takes precautions to ensure that our elections are safe and secure. I think a paper trail and paper ballots are the way to go with video cameras on the transportation of the ballot boxes and of the counting.

Russia is accused of communications with regards to 2016, not of touching the vote count(s).
Your notion is off the mark in terms of replying and defending from what they did.

If Trump was actually going to "take action" to stop Russia from using social media in the US, he could always sabotage their internet connection to the rest of the planet. Would that satisfy your need for action?

Russians penetrated U.S. voter systems, top U.S. official says

The U.S. official in charge of protecting American elections from hacking says the Russians successfully penetrated the voter registration rolls of several U.S. states prior to the 2016 presidential election.

In an exclusive interview with NBC News, Jeanette Manfra, the head of cybersecurity at the Department of Homeland Security, said she couldn't talk about classified information publicly, but in 2016, "We saw a targeting of 21 states and an exceptionally small number of them were actually successfully penetrated."

George W. Bush: 'Clear evidence Russians meddled' in election

Former President George W. Bush appeared to take aim at President Trump on Thursday when he said at an economic summit in the Middle East that there was "pretty clear evidence that the Russians meddled" in the 2016 U.S. president election.

"It’s problematic that a foreign nation is involved in our election system. Our democracy is only as good as people trust the results," he said.

How about enacting the fucking sanctions for a start. Would that be a minimum for you????

Nah, let's just do nothing except have a parade to show how tough we are while Russia continues to fuck with us. You are an unpatriotic moron.

You forgot that Russia attempted to manipulate voting machines, even if they did not succeed. We can only assume they will attempt to do so again. Also, "communications" sounds like a purposely vague attempt to minimize what they actually did. You're either unfamiliar with the known facts, or you're familiar with them and being very dishonest here.

Perhaps Trump is concentrating on those domestic invaders who attempted to throw an election? We need a big-ass broom taken to the FBI's dark corners. With your second paragraph, I very much agree - although we still need some way to stop the Dems' favorite trick of copying some "illegible" ballots, ending up with more ballots than voters, and somehow finding that the Democrat has taken the lead. Ask Norm Coleman.

I mean if prayer works then why would we spend the millions of dollars on security? Lets just organize a national 'pray for fair elections' day and be done with it. It is what Rick Perry would do.
Every person of real faith and even religious morons should know that God helps those who help themselves. He doesn't do for us what He expects us to do for ourselves. He's more like after hours tech support with a Bible full of FAQ and DIY files.

Concentrating on those domestic invaders who attempted to throw an election? You mean voter fraud? You know that investigation was ended and not a fan thing was found, right?

Trump isn't doing shit and that should be a concern for any patriotic American.

Which is functionally indistinguishable from 'There is no god, if you want it done you are going to have to roll your sleeves up and do it yourself'.

So I got the spelling wrong

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kompromat

I use kompromat cause thats the term that has been used to this effect in the news.
I would have had to have known the word kompormat to know you misspelled it as compromat. I asked because I couldn't fine the second word in the dictionary and was asking if it was for real. Had you spelled it kom I would have found it in the dictionary and not asked my question. Pay attention to the defensive sound of So I got ? wrong. It implies that you expect ridicule being wrong and that will produce a defensiveness a counter attack to something that was never an attack in the first place. Note that I can warn you about this and be objectively accurate as good advice because I find myself reacting defensively all the time, for no reason except that hidden assumption that I am bad if I am wrong. When this gets full blown into a paranoid state, you wind up with a conservative brain defect.

If you get down to it, what human behavior could you see that isn't (at least partly) defensive in origin?

I would gladly agree with you if what you said didn't completely contradict everything I know to be true about the human mind.

Take the notion of what God represents, the good. Anybody who believes in God also believes that God loves the good. In the religion most Americans are familiar with, Christianity, what the good is, boiled down for the sake of simplicity and ease of conversation is basically advertised under the rubric of LOVE. So any person of real faith strives to love with as much proximity to God's love as he or she can muster. Now self satisfaction and a feeling of achievement is attained by achieving goals, the result of which is a sense of self worth rooted in ethical precepts. The manifestation of love is all inclusive. When you love others and act out of that love you build self respect of a kind that can't be had in any other way. Naturally, you don't have to believe in God to do this if you have the same faith in some other set of basically identical moral values, love in particular, via some more secular means. I am not here to condemn non believers, I am, in part, one myself. The point is that a belief in God can have good results, a positive attitude to life.

Now we can add that attitude is everything. It is a powerful driving force for success. Faith moves mountains is another way to say this. So we are never really alone or without God if we love because God and love and everything good are all one and the same thing. More come to a faith in the good via God than in any other way. It is their job to protect their religions from the dark force of ego, that wants to pretend to the good without achievement that is loves mirror. What you do when you deny God is to tell people who have faith in the good the good doesn't exist and they will just laugh at you. People of faith, real faith, know better and they know it with absolute certainty.

Oki, sure Ill play 🙂.
What kind of sound would you attribute to "What happened to dirt, not syopsy enough?" ?
One could argue that you got a response in kind.
That being said, this communication form leaves out 95% of the conversation so if we are not careful to sprinkle enough emojis or whatever we stand a great chance of getting the wrong tone across.

I don't think it's so much a matter of being defensive as it is about what you are defensive about. I am talking about defending the ego against conscious awareness of what ego is and how it operates on an unconscious level. For example, I may have completely missed the meaning of SO in 'o I made a spelling mistake'as in 'so I did make a spelling mistake' as opposed to 'so what if I made a spelling mistake you fucking nit picker' which is what I heard and may have misheard because I am used to having people get defensive about what I say.

Nice, but I was actually directing that not syopsy enough at the universe forcing me to endure the next big hip thingi. Forgive me if you don't like thingi. There was a time when it was really in. And I have taken to using syops regularly now that we see so many Russian Trolls. And besides had I been upset at something besides the universe for its bad treatment, it would have been directed at the OP. I took it you used the term because he did so he's the asshole to started all of this.

Desperate to duh-vert.

There's no reason for the GOP to do anything about Russian meddling, anyway. The message of divisive hate & discontent merely echoes their own. Maybe the idea of farming it out to the highly talented FSB is something they've considered.

I mean, we all want stronger ties between Russian Oligarchs & our own right wing Plutocracy, don't we?

Glad you finally outed yourself as a Russian troll.....hint: Russians are foreigners in the U.S., not domestic.
Wow! What made you decide to share that revelation with the world! You've been sitting on that astonishing bit of information for how long?
Russians are indeed foreigners, unless they happen to be in Russia, then they're citizens.

I'll give you even more credit for catching me out on the Russian troll thing. Here I thought my cover as a WASP who has never been to a non English speaking country was near bullet proof, and yet, by typing one sentence, that tremendous hulking intellect of you're saw right through my charade. Well played sir, well played indeed.

*sigh* now I have to buy them, fry them, re-season them and put them in a super loud bag to get my full Dorito experience! I just gotta get my finger licking, crunch on Dammit!

Just buy a normal, or men's, bag of Doritos and crush them into a fine powder (it shouldn't be too hard, if your store is anything like mine half the bags are already pre-crushed for you) and pour them into your purse sized pink bag of Doritos. That way you can look all dainty while you poor the cheesy powder coated treats into you upturned maw. 😀

domestic invaders, eh?

Oh FFS, you poor, poor fool. 🙁

LOL!

But no, I'm too much of a lady. I'd eat them with a spoon.

but first a parade!
Can we have one like this?
