Rewatching the Sopranos

This is my 4th time rewatching the sopranos and every time around, there are things I've missed. Anyone else love the show as much as I have/do?
 
Yeah, I'm a huge fan of the show, easily a #1 on my list. Have watched through the series twice now and will probably start watching through the series again soon.
 
Bought the entire dvd set off a member on AT for $70 so I'm just going through a massive marathon. Started two days ago, just started season 3.
 
Up until season 5, then it started to spiral out of control and suck 🙁

It was one of the best shows HBO has ever had until that point though.
 
Can't stop believin' that although its great, one's television journey doesn't peak there... I'm holdin' on to that feelin' that BSG surpassed it.

I dunno about GREATEST, but definitely one of the best ever made.

When it first came out, I didn't like it. Nothing like the wiseguys I knew when I was a kid.

THEN, I read an article by David Chase where he said the show was supposed to be viewed as a sort of dark comedy...

Once I got that, I loved the show...it made so much more sense.
 
Excellent series... but 4 times?? Dunno if I have that kind of time to burn... There are plenty of other series I'd like to watch for the FIRST time before ever thinking of re-watching the Sopranos..
 
I really can't make it past when they start getting into Tony's dreams. Series just died there for me. I never even finished watching it.
 
Yup it is the best show, I'm still sad that it's stopped 🙁 I've watched the entire collection 3 times already.

BSG far surpasses Sopranos.

While I cant quite put my finger on why I like Sopranos, I have been through the series twice. Pretty good show, but not the best series ever.

Agreed. Been through this show at least 10 times and there's always something else. Always a tiny little look, the slightest of tells if you've memorized everything that came before and after.
 
Buffy the vampire slayer over the Sopranos? Seems like if you liked Buffy you wouldn't like the Sopranos at all 😛

Well, The Sopranos really was a great series. Hard to remember anything better since so much TV is just crap. Though all the cliffhangers got really annoying, and half the time they never concluded them and just went on to the next story line. I thought they ended the show perfectly, also. Even though some people hated the way it ended.

Nope, I too rate Buffy over the Sopranos, but have both in the top 10. I'd have The Shield 1, TZ 2, Buffy 3 and The Sopranos about 8th or 9th.
