Muskets and swords... really? If the Colt repeating rifle was made in 1855 without electricity... you would think people who have the smarts to make something other than muskets.

You have to remember that all the factories they had required electricity to run so they would have to restart near the beginning with manufacturing buildings first not to mention a lot of the time between the power went off were various wars.

Not to mention the lack of skill as who makes guns these days by hand without electricity?

When I was watching it they did have other guns like M16's. There's just not a lot of ammo left.

Which is why they shouldn't be using muzzle loading rifles. It would be easier to reload brass cartridges than to make muzzle loading rifles. There's plenty of equipment today specifically manufactured to make ammo, not as much to make old fashioned rifles.

If they are already making bullets, percussion caps, and gun powder, it's not that much harder to make brass cartridges.

I think they gave up on muskets a while ago. It was probably an early creative decision. Nowadays, everyone has an M4 and I even saw a SCAR or ACR (thanks CoD...). Swords are still pretty popular.

If you haven't seen the newest episode, look forward to rail guns.

haha, wen they showed the "others" grabbing the rail guns (before we knew they were rail guns), I was like, wtf are they going to do with grenade launchers in such tight corridors?

Also, from the beginning this show kind of reminded me of lost, and then when they showed those people in the tower, i was like its the "others!"

I thought they looked like grenade launchers for a second, then I though that'd be stupid to use those in close quarters, so I moved on to auto-shotguns... Nope.

Lol its so ridiculous... After 15 years all of a sudden all the generators all over the world started working.stupidest thing yet

I think the season ended. In the end they showed the president sitting in Gitmo, all ready to come back, so I guess there will be a season 2, series did not end

looks like the people who complained about no steam or other things can finally shut the fuck up next week. seems like monroe republic oppresses their people whereas the other areas are much more free.

the scientifically and technologically illiterates writing and producing the show likely read forum chatter... saw how moronic the plot was... and wrote in a blurb to explain the lack of steam.

his show is NOT science fiction... there is so much scientifically illiterate bs in this show as to put it squarely into the fantasy category. bad pseudoscience, bad acting, unimaginative writing... typical i guess

So what's the point of using diamonds as currency?

Sure they are small and easy to transport but with no machinery it's going to be hard to make into jewelry and even then that's not something in heavy demand.

I enjoy this show
