I posted about this a while back, like last year or so. I can't find the original post, but this morning's commute just reaffirmed to me that smokers have no common sense, decency or morals.

On the way in to work this morning on the highway, one of the cars in front of me tossed their cig out the window. Oooh, look at the pretty sparks as it hits the road. Needless to say, it ended up in my travel lane and I hope for the sake of all that I actually ran it over to put it out. We almost have a drought here in central FL, so fire hazards are starting to go up again.

Whoopie you say. Now for the kicker...

Not more than 5 minutes down the road from that incident, out of the corner of my eye I catch another barrage of nice amber sparks as yet another cigarette hits the frame of my car door where I have the window open probably about 3 inches to catch some morning air. The lit cigarette proceeds to bounce off the frame and into my lap, then onto the floor of my car.

Gee, thanks. GET AN ASH TRAY ASH-HOLES! And use it too.

Almost as annoying as when it bounces up and onto the hood of the car, then lodges in the 'fresh' air intake, melting the plastic guard and stinking out your enitire car.

USE YOUR ASHTRAY, DICKWIPE!

I'll assume you are a smoker? I agree with the OP, it's rediculous....I can't stand flying cigarette butts at my car. Smokers have to be the most inconsiderate people you could ever meet when it comes to other people's health and property.

This is just a small sample of rude people that targets smokers. On a larger scale, it's indicative of our nation full of rude people who are out to get theirs and everyone else can go F themselves.

My parents lived a Goulburn at the time of those fires....I remember visiting them when that was occuring and you couldn't see 3 feet in front of you the smoke was that thick.

I TOTALLY agree. Sadly, it isn't suprising anymore since I hold no hope for the human race.

I love this one too...

Get that last drag in before going inside to a restaurant/bar/store/etc. Then throw the butt on the GROUND, not in the TRASH CAN OUT SIDE THAT HAS AN ASHTRAY ON IT.

Yeah, they never found any of the tens if not hundreds of tonnes of lead used on the roof of Mt Stromlo observatory, the fires were so hot up there that it just vapourised :Q

You have no valid complaint if you didnt write down the plate and report them for littering.

People who complain to be heard are a dime a dozen... People who take measures to confront & solve their complaints are the salt of the earth.

If someone actually threw a butt into my car and it landed on my lap, I'd make absolutley sure to follow them and either force them to stop, confront them at a redlight or follow them to their destination and scare the living ****** out of them. Either way, I'd make sure he/she got to smell my minty fresh breath as I'm IN THEIR FACE ripping them a NEW ASSHOLE. Unacceptable.

I actually stopped tossing them out the window after reading a thread similiar to this one.
Of course, I stopped smoking as well, but when I still smoked I stopped doing it.
ATOT has some real power. :)
