Why should anyone give a shit to begin with.

The internet is loaded with this kind of crap to begin with, if someone is stupid enough to put themselves above a legal age of consent, seeking attention, they can piss off in my mind.

If it isn't something illegal, they need to grow up and be responsible for their own actions on either end as far as posting.

You don't want it seen, don't fucking make a video.

Glad to see I'm not the only sane one here.

I swear the yuppies here that act all compassionate to cases like this must be the type that go home everyday thinking they have saved the world. In the end they do nothing but donate $1 to a stupid charity when they buy groceries and use that as their crux for being a kind, compassionate, caring person. In the end they are the problem, all bitching, no action.

Glad to see (well not really) that it's not only the USA who is trying to rid of personal responsibility. It's always someone elses fault.

Slut shaming shouldn't exist. Your acceptance of that as reasonable is indicative of the larger problem.

Ahhh that's better. Thanks!

The only reason she felt shame was because of herself, nobody else can make her feel shameful for her actions.

Should all sexual be acceptable then? If she had slept with an entire football team while knowing she was HIV positive, is that acceptable? Or would we still be compelled to call her a strong independent woman by the PC crowd?

Seems to me that some behaviour ought not to be accepted by society. Now, in this specific case, should what she did be considered acceptable?

I'd argue that the blowjob ought to be considered acceptable and so should the sharing of the video. But what society should not accept is the double standard by which she expected to be treated. Don't share the video unless you are willing to accept the consequences, positive and negative. Also, even if people would be wrong to judge her, it was unreasonable of her to expect everyone not to. It was unreasonable to expect that none of the 4 people might share the clip online.

I can't believe how many people side with this woman. She got herself into her own mess and had to deal with the consequences. Normally people just break up after a relationship fails but she had to go a step further to try to punish her ex and it back fired. She tried to inflict emotional pain on someone else and we have to feel sorry for her being a "victim".

Do you think the ex was not taunted about the video too? Not to the same extent because women get way more attention but it was there.

She is just another person who wants attention from everyone but can't handle it. Look how many photos she posted of herself...

Of course it doesn't... that little tidbit doesn't fit the narrative.

The woman was by dictionary definition a slut and a whore. Whether or not you believe that is a good or bad thing is a personal choice, but it is a known fact she was.

She sent the video to ex-boyfriend for REVENGE. He uploaded it online for REVENGE.

They're both horrible, horrible people - sounds like they deserved each other.

Proof that she was taking money for sex?

And I think the point is that she is considered a "slut" yet the guys she was with aren't, hence the severe double standard.

Then the answer is to encourage people to judge the man for his actions, not to give the woman a free pass for hers.

A lot of it comes down to the details. If people threatened her, harassed her at her workplace, etc, then that's obviously not acceptable. If she killed herself because men don't want to date a woman that makes revenge porn, that's her own fault.

Never film things you don't want the world to see. That rule has never let me down.

Similar mantra that we lawyers counsel our clients with (who generally ignore us anyway)...

Never send an email that you wouldn't be comfortable seeing on the front page of the New York Times.

Not sure why the ex posted it on the internet. I had pictures of an ex-GF nude many years ago (I took the pics long before I met my wife). I destroyed them though. I didn't want my wife finding them and I wanted to protect the privacy of my ex-GF too even though she fucked me over a couple times.

Sucks that people bullied and harassed her for it and ultimately she ended up taking her life over this. Sad...

I hope the fucker who posted the video is haunted by this for the rest of his life. Dickhead. Her death is on his hands.

Never understood why people even record/take pictures of themselves doing stuff like that. It NEVER ends well. I have yet to hear of an incident where something good came out of someone recording themselves doing sexual acts. People are stupid.

Of course you don't hear about it because they keep it quiet for their own personal enjoyment.

It apparently went more viral in Italy than here.

Basically if the viral gods bestow you fame you basically have to own it. As far as the internet is concerned thats what you're all about. Just ask overly attached girlfriend.
