Finally got my car into my garage! I've been storing it at my parents or at a church friend's amazing garage for several years now. Barely being able to take it out. My garage is a bit small(at least in the parking section), and is in town so I have been hesitant to bring it around. I didn't exactly want to advertise my beastly v-10 to the neighborhood, as I live in a nice but overall depressed area.

During / after the kitchen remodel we stored old flooring / subfloor, cabinets and other garbage in the garage, but it is finally cleaned up and I decided to finally move the car into town with me.

Not today, but yesterday I went to Funspot. My god what an awesome arcade. I'll definitely be making the trip on a regular basis - only a 2-2.5 hour drive (depending on traffic). I took some pictures, so I'll make a thread in OT soon.

I evicted my creepy new friend, and didn't get eaten. First attempt was trying to scoot him into a cup with a fork. The intent was get him in the cup, then cap it. He was quick, with a disturbing proclivity to run up the fork. I then put the cup over him, and slid some paperboard under the cup. He's now outside, and I can use the right half of my sink. Maybe I'll do some dishes to celebrate; tomorrow; maybe Sunday :^D

My Amazon package that I ordered several months ago finally came in. I was just leaving the house from my lunch break so almost missed it, but didn't. I was starting to get worried about that package since it was suppose to arrive about a month ago.

Got a call from Home Depot saying their delivery driver quit on them so my delivery was canceled until they can find and train someone else. Downside is I don't know when my siding for my shed will come in, but up side is that they gave me free delivery!

My outside calico's getting friendlier. She offered me her head this morning. Fathead and Mini Me are still flakes. Made a pouch for the metal detector. Need to cover the plastic part to prevent sun damage. The legs from bdus make great pouches. Cut them off, sew the hole up, and you have a nice easy drawstring pouch using the blousing strings.

Just tried picking her up. She didn't much like that. I got the sharp parts of the kitty. Oh, well. Maybe another time...

Mom brought her kittens by. Looks like three of them. Tiny little things, and still can't walk so well. If it weren't for the two I already have, they'd all be in the house.

I think I fixed my problem with high cpu usage of soffice.bin. I upgraded xubuntu early(before the .1 release), and have had a few nagging issues, with libreoffice being one of the more annoying problems. It was randomly using 50%+ of both cores on my machine. I've been looking off and on for a few weeks now, and ran across a post from couple years ago that had the same problem. He fixed it by disabling an extension he forgot he installed. I looked at mine, and found an extension I forgot I installed. Disabled that, and so far it's been behaving.

My last bad problem is random lag connecting to windows server shares. Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it takes a literal minute to connect. My boss has been having the same issue, so that indicates a general update as being the cause, and not the distribution upgrade. Just need to track it down. Once I get that fixed, I'll be able to upgrade the boss' computer at the .1 release.

Had fresh picked blueberries with my 7 month old yogurt for breakfast. Only downside is I had to use the lavender honey. I'd have preferred plain, but my plain honey has crystallized a bit. I'll get more tomorrow. I love berry season.

There's nothing wrong with eating crystallized honey. You can put the jar in warm water to melt the crystals, or eat it as is.

It's the mouth feel that's a problem, especially with the "naked" presentaion mixing it in yogurt. I've never been able to get it back to new condition. I'll use it for cooking, where it'll break down better.

I'm going to the Nissan dealership to have my airbag replaced. They have free snacks and a nice waiting area.

Sushi for breakfast! \o/

After getting finished shopping, I went to the sushi section, but all they had finished were large packs of sashimi. I was debating that. but it was expensive, and more than I wanted. I wandered around the store for a bit to kill some time.

They had some nifty solar powered Edison lamps I was considering. Wasn't sure exactly what I'd do with them though. I'll give it some thought, and maybe get one or more another week.

Went back to the sushi section, and as I'm walking up, I see the same sashimi in the case :^(

Get a bit closer, and notice they some tuna volcano roll packed up behind the counter. Jackpot! I got that, and some vegetable dumplings. I look forward to that all week when I'm planning a Wegmans trip.

Made fried chicken at home (mmm, panko). Unfortunately, ran out of every flavor of sauce known to mankind...no BBQ in the fridge. No honey mustard. Not even a jar of sweet & sour to be found. Miraculously, however, I found a couple small tubs of Chik-fil-a sauce in the back of the fridge.

Yissssssssssssssssss :D

Hung laundry out today on my solar clothes dryer, and my repair broke; The wood rotted, and got weak. I figured that would happen, but not this quickly. I have it rigged for the time being, but I'll have to replace it with something else. Maybe pvc...

Looked like it was getting cloudy, so I fetched the laundry. All was dry. Decided to fix my clothes dryer. The Dundalkers next door had left some pvc conduit in my yard(???) I had tossed it back in the brush to get it out of the way of making grass shorter. I recovered that, cut a section off with my Swiss army knife, and fixed my repair. It all took about 15 minutes, and just as I was finishing, it started to rain. A computer couldn't have managed the time better. Just about perfect precision :^)
