My doorbell looks something like this...

Only problem is some people are dumb as rocks.

them: Oh, I thought it was a lock
me: Umm... Nevermind

One of the reasons it took me so long to get around to doing the replacement was I had a policy of not answering the door unless people called first. But that became an issue with deliveries so I finally broke down and fixed the doorbells.

That's why everything comes to the office. If you knock on my front door, I don't know you.

How do those work? Bell on one side and the turn thing on the other and it has a spring loaded hammer of sorts? Since it's all metal how bad is that in winter for heat loss? I imagine the bell on the inside gets a little frosty. I've had frost form on lock screws lol.

I got to see the smile on my 4 year old sons face when we picked up the snowmobile that we snowchecked (pre ordered) earlier in the year. He is so excited for snow.

I've been looking at those for a while but haven't gotten around to ordering one. I like the Eastlake style bells.

Was the install too much pain?
Install's extremely easy. One main hole for the key/bell, and four little holes to mount the unit. I can't remember, but the knob probably has a setscrew. I unintentionally made my hole small enough that the knob fits snugly, so it's just there. Someone could steal it if they knew it and wanted to be a dick :^D

Dunno about heat transfer. That's not something I've ever been concerned about. I like the house drafty, so I never looked.

They are a level of fun that is unparrelled in motorized recreation. We live with 9,000ft mountains in our backyard so we have easy access to the pinnacle of snowmobile riding - steep and deep. However there is never a ride where you don’t have a smile on your face.

I just logged into Amazon and it said "free shipping on over 100 million items".

100.

Million.

Items.

One hundred million items that are a click away from being delivered, largely for "free" in two days thanks to Prime, straight to my door (or inside the door now, I guess, with Amazon Key in-home delivery). That's insane.

2 things...
1. Got to have a Thanksgiving lunch with my son at his pre-school, provided by the school of course.
2. A fellow shopper @ Costco stopped an impulse purchase of a 6-pk of blood orange soda. Was marked as a mgr special for 6 1.25 liter bottles for $13, but he showed me the ad for tomorrow where they are going to be an additional 4$ instant off, so I held off on my purchase. :)

Got to have sushi for breakfast \o/

Usually when I go to wegmans, the sushi isn't ready yet. I left a little late, and they started a little early, so I got spicy shrimp tempura roll. Not my first choice, but it's what they had. Also got some spicy soybeans.

Currently fucking around in the truck waiting for the liquor store to open. I also need to find figs. Wegmans was out.

I don't have to work anymore this week. Got a text that the client got the bridge taken care of, and they'd call next week. Dunno what's going on out there, but that's a problem for another day. Gonna have my ox tail tomorrow(not sure about that shit), and into the woods before the weekend's over. I'll pick the coolest day to go. Things are looking up. Makes up for missing lunch today.
