You say tyranny not found, and then quote something that most would find as tyranny?

FDR didn't seize those powers at the point of a bayonet now did he?

Congress gave them to him specifically so that he could do what he did.

True enough. But considering it happened under his watch as President he gets to shoulder the burden.

As usual, Righties illustrate a poor understanding of economics, particularly the role of money & credit. With the ongoing collapse of credit & banking, Roosevelt inherited a debt/deflation scenario exacerbated by hoarding of both gold & currency by the wealthy. And, of course, the more they hoarded, the worse it got, and the worse it got, the more they hoarded. Those with excess purchasing power gained even more of it by stuffing their money into their mattresses, driving prices & wages through the floor.

More money needed to be created to counter act that, but the govt was constrained by the gold standard. Buying all the gold in the country at $20 and revaluing it at $35 allowed that to happen, allowed the govt to employ millions of people & create the massive public works projects that benefit us to this day.

Who lost? Only the hoarders, who remained rich in any case. Who gained? Everybody else.

    1. To inflict punishment in return for (injury or insult).
    2. To seek or take vengeance for (oneself or another person); avenge.
    1. The act of taking vengeance for injuries or wrongs; retaliation.
    2. Something done in vengeance; a retaliatory measure.
    3. A desire for revenge; spite or vindictiveness.
    4. An opportunity to retaliate, as by a return sports match after a defeat.

I have no problems with any of these definition in the context of voting because Romney tried to scare Ohio auto workers employed by Jeep.

Lead, Follow or Get Out of the Way.

Obama did none of those. He let Congress drag him around on their timeline and plans
