Revenge of the Sith

Well from what I heard, the Return of the Jedi was going to be called Revenge of the Jedi,
then Lucas changed it because he felt revenge wasn't a Jedi characteristic. Where as it
would be a Sith characteristic. Since in the first movies (of the new trilogy) I believe its
been said that the Sith were gone, extinct, whatever, the Sith rise back to power could
be seen as a revenge against the Jedi (who I assume they fought with originally).

And as seen from a New Hope, jedi were all but extinct then too. So drawn your own conclusions.

Also Lucas is a nut, so it could be anything.

Correct. The Jedi and Sith fought long before the time period of the movies. The Jedi won the war and the Sith were thought to be extinct.

I see a lot of Star Wars bashing in this thread. Funny since I'd bet money that MOST of those bashers will see Episode III.

Well yea, but everyone and their pet goat is going to see this movie.

Are the Sith just Jedi?s gone to the dark side?
What would happen if more than 2 Jedi?s were seduced by the dark side?

For the most part, yes, Sith are Jedi's gone to the dark side. Some Sith were completely trained from the beginning to be Sith; they were never Jedi.

The movies do not address this well, in my opinion. There can be more than two Sith (there are more than two in the movies). However, there is the pecking order and having more than one Sith around the same rank will likely lead to a fight for dominance.

Yes and no. The Sith are a different religion/culture of Force-type folks. Calling them Jedi is an oversimplification. Yes, the Jedi helped defeat them but there was also an internal war among the Sith and they did more damage to themselves. As a survival tactic, there can be only 2 Sith at once...a master and apprentice. The only 2 eliminates the internal power struggle common among the Sith.

It happens.
I had a friend call me a geek because I'm in a gaming clan.
He then proceeded to take the piss out of me because his broadband is faster than mine.

Wow. An EA post in a movie thread where he didn't say the movie sucked.
Only because he doesn't have to - with these movies, it's implied.

Actually, #2 wasn't all that bad. #1 pretty much sucked, at least whenever that dumbass kid was in the scene. 😉

not to forget that the Sith aren't the only ones that have been seduced by the dark side of the force (I'm talking about Dark Jedi)

Dark Jedi are dark side force users who don't believe in the ways of the sith.
