Revealed: 2008 Nissan GT-R

So there's gonna be 3 versions? My guess is the 450hp version will be starting at 80k. Also, the 530hp flagship model will most likely be the one hitting those crazy performance numbers mentioned in the article, probably costing around 100+ k. That's just my guess though. Z06 will still remain the best bang for the buck.

I think the lowest version(480 hp?) will be priced under $60K. That is not taking into account dealer markups.

Even so the Z06 is only pipping it by 0.005%. In real terms you are not going to be able to tell the difference.

Well according to the Autoweek article the base price will start at under $80k not $60k.
 
So a Z06 costs at least $70K, still weighs over 3000 lbs, doesn't have AWD and for the most part people can't differentiate bettween a Z06, ZR-1, or base yes-this-is-my-midlife-crisis-because-of-my-expanding-baldspot 'Vette.

The 997 TT weighs in at about 3500 lbs. and costs 2X a GTR without a significant performance boost. While this is my dream car, the styling hasn't changed in decades. So it is classic to some and boring to others.

Every car has it's various nuances but for under $60K, you'll be hard pressed to find a new car that offers what the GT-R will provide.
