It'll be great for innovation when/if they do expire. Rambus is worth quite a bit. Most of that due to royalties and lawsuits filed for patent infringement. Being scummy is their entire business model.huh i didn't think they were even around anymore
since those expire after 20 years, i imagine they'll be going out of business soon unless they've found something else to patent
Also popping my head in for the first time since 2019. I thought everyone would have migrated to Reddit by now?
Never read Reddit much, not had the urge to register. I'm a loyal woman. Lol AT or nothing, dammit. Also popping my head in for the first time since 2019. I thought everyone would have migrated to Reddit by now?
Nice to hear from you.No... Can't be the same one. Can it? *looking around for another Nowhere Man as well*

I find it too difficult to navigate. But then, I am old. Also popping my head in for the first time since 2019. I thought everyone would have migrated to Reddit by now?
@GUTB you missed all the C2D years where intel was king
now AMD is back on top and everyone trashes intel again
im still rocking my 8700k though
I think my gaming rig is circa 2013. I had to install a beta BIOS on the board just to get it to recognize the now-aging 1080Ti I use for VR. Still works though! Mega huge tower under my IKEA desk hahaha.
No, you're the olds. 😁I find it too difficult to navigate. But then, I am old.

I got a great deal on a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass case. This is a big case but has amazing airflow.Don't make the mistake I did and "upgrade" to one of the multitude of downright cramped RGB-fan (supposed) mid-towers that are so trendy these days. I was always a full-tower guy myself but this upgrade cycle I went with a Corsair iCue 220 and frankly it's better suited to MATX.
The end-product IS really nice with great airflow but unfortunately in the time it took me to build in it using a Corsair AIO I could have done a custom hard-tube water cooling loop in a full-tower! (I know because I've done it)
ITX must be a total nightmare using full-size components!![]()
I've never really had much of a desire to change cases. My antec P182 still works just fine as do my almost as old Fractal casesDon't make the mistake I did and "upgrade" to one of the multitude of downright cramped RGB-fan (supposed) mid-towers that are so trendy these days. Good airflow is for the weak! You must cram as much stuff as possible into an impossibly small case and hope it doesn't slow down to 1000MHz under load. This is why they invented itx cases!I got a great deal on a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass case. This is a big case but has amazing airflow.
