Returning sometin and store credit

I got a xbox 360 game as a gift, havent opened it and dont think i wanna keep it, it was ordered offline prob from amazon, my question is can i return it to best buy just for store credit. I doubt I can but thought never know since store credit is what I want.

you want to return an item bought at one store and return it to another? even for store credit? good luck on that one buddy.

nope. because poeple buy the game and shrink wrap it back up. claiming they got it as a gift and do not want it..

People may do that, but it doesn't stop places from accepting games. I know Walmart takes them and registers the return to a driver's license.

i'd sell it on ebay and you might even be able to get more than what its worth.

I was just asking a question didnt need to get flamed, its still got security thing stuck on the spot where u open it and everything, not a big deal, ill get around to playin it when i beat the 2nd level of call of duty.
