Returning iPods

I have an iPod Photo that I bought a 2 year warenty with and its been about 1.5 yrs. My screen on my ipod is not as bright as it used to be (it is way darker, even with brightness all the way up).

I really want to return it to get a better screen since it is a photo, but I would love even more to just get it replaced with a iPod Video. They are about the same price so I am wondering if anyone has had this experience before and what they did? Is it even possible? Thanks.

I hope you get laughed out of the store or a big chuckle from Apple.

AFTER ALMOST TWO YEARS OF USE IT IS NORMAL FOR THERE TO BE WEAR. Especially on an LCD that loses brightness as the backlight gets decay and ages!

See if Apple will sell you a bulb or filament for the backlight.

If you bought it from Apple, no way. You can, however, get a new Photo.

If you bought it at Best Buy, yes. They will replace it with whatever is in stock.

Get a new photo.

Return to another store for video.

This is a bit on the side of fraud and somewhat undignified, but your other real option is to get the new photo, sell in FS/FT for money to buy video.
