I didn't read every replies and I don't care if I will got falmed, but PlunX you are simply abusing the system. Return the Pro1 and get the Pro2? And you think you are doing the right thing? And you want to blame MSI? What is that? First, MSI didn't say a word that you will get FREE upgrade to the Pro2. Second, they look the same doesn't mean they are the same. Third, Fry's has no responsibility to provide you the free upgrade.

I don't care about crap of you don't have a lot of money or what. You made the decision to buy something, and you have to live with that. You feel bad you got a Pro1? Go hit the wall. It's no one's fault and no one is obligated to help you in anyway. Maybe you still think you are doing the right thing. Go ahead, I am sure a lot of people on this forum are with me on this.

And it's even more ironic that you post what you are doing to do here.

I didn't post that to inform you people about me ripping off Fry's. If you read my last two sentences of my first post, you'd see that I was asking what kind of excuse I could give them to take the Pro back and get the Pro2. If no one wants to help me, then they don't need to. I was simply asking what kind of an excuse I could give them.

If no one's getting ripped off, I don't see how it's doing the wrong thing. That's all I have to say about it.

Yes, frys is getting ripped off, and since frys gets ripped off, they will raise the prices for the rest of us.

"thinking about what excuse"... alright, students, let us discuss this topic a little bit. If there is already a good reason, that's a good excuse i suppose. and if you have to think of a reason, or excuse, is that still an excuse.

example 1. you supposed to meet your friend at 6, but you got stuck into traffic and arrived at 7. you *immediately* told your friend, "sorry, the traffic caught me..." shouldn't need to think about it.

example 2. you supposed to meet your friend at 6 but you were late coz' you secretly meet with a gal at 6. so you arrived at 7. now you have to think about a reason, no, i mean excuse. let's see..... "sorry, my watch stopped..."

students, today's assignment. based on the above statements and examples, write an 100-word essay on how the statement "thinking about what excuse" contradicts itself morally. If you can't realize when it contradicts, stay after school and copy the statement "by definition, an excuse is not thought" 1000 times or until you understand why. alright?

don't worry PlunX, I am not arguing anything with you, and I am not proving anything.

btw students, one more thing before we end our class today. sometimes people don't understand the true definition of moral, and the whole theory of being truthful. instead they learn how to find excuses to cover up their untruthfulness. please don't follow them. i am sure you are all smart kids. ;)

Fry's may not be great in many aspects, but people who abuse return policies and overrun the store with boxes marked returned make it worse.

It's wrong. Period.

You're dumb:disgust:

First, if you knew you wanted to overclock, why the f:)ck did you get that motherboard? And second, if you want to know which video card is better, go read a review, it's alot simpler than buying them all to test them and then returning the ones you don't like...

This is the way I see it.. If I have thirty days to bring it back without any problems, then all is well. If another version of the product is released within that thirty days, taking it back and basically exchanging it for the new one seems only logical.

If I went up to them and said, "A new version of this motherboard was released and I want to return this one in order to get the newer one." I'm almost 95% positive that they'd let me do that without any questions asked. But just in case, I was thinking about making an excuse in order to be completely sure that it'd work. Just because you make an exucse for something doesn't mean that you're totally in the wrong.

I have no problems with Fry's at all. I've never even gotten anything from there that hasn't worked, brown box or not. You people still seem to think that I did this and am going to do this just to piss them off or make it worse for everyone. That's not what I'm doing. What I'm doing is saving myself money (I'm sure someone's going to call me selfish sooner or later, so.. Whatever. I'm such a selfish person) and taking back a motherboard that's in perfect condition that can be used by another person. Keeping this motherboard and not using it is a good thing? If I take it back, at least it can go out to another person instead of laying in it's box collected dust.

The two motherboards that they had at Fry's was this one and that FIC one.. I forgot the model number.. But I knew that I had to get one from there and it was obvious that the K7T was the better choice. Plus, I didn't even know that they were releasing a Pro2. If I would have known that, I would have waited and got it when it came out. Also, I didn't go out and buy a bunch of video cards, test them out, and bring them back.. I bought one, thought it had a conflict, bought the other, saw that it might have been the same problems (but fixed it eventually), then took it back and got the other one for the last time.. Saw a deal at Best Buy for the other card, and since I fixed the problem that I was having with them, decided to see for myself which one was better. I don't trust most reviews anymore.

It used to only be northern and southern california, I think it may have expanded since. I'm not sure though. my Uncle used to come visit it us only because we are within 10 miles of a Fry's and an REI. ;)

Yes I am by the manhatten beach store. just a few miles down rosecrans for me! REI is a backpacking, camping etc... store. The REI by fry's only opened in the last year, my uncle used to have to go to the one in south torrance.

The website is merely a token website. The best source of fry's information is still the adds in the newspaper.

And back on topic:
[flame]PlunX, you have a serious problem. You think that you are entitled to try out any products you want as long as you own it for less than 30 days. Frys does not sell shareware computer hardware. There is no try-before-you-buy in computer hardware. You pay for the product, and it is yours. If you can't make up your mind on what to buy, then you are not ready to spend the money to buy it. When I dropped $1800 on a new computer last year, I didn't even think about returning it when the new coppermine processors came out a week later. You paid for a MSI Pro not a Pro2. You get what you paid for, no more and no less. It is your fault that you bought the pro. Don't blame MSI or Fry's or anyone else for your mistake. The fact that you bought your 2 video cards from 2 different stores does not make it right. The fact that you intended to return 1 shows that you meant to defraud either best buy or frys. Before you come here asking for excuses to return a product, maybe you should start looking for excuses as to why you can't live with your decisions and their consequences. :| [/flame]

10:00-11:00 am Sunday morning seems to be the best time. I have never waited behind more than 3 people.

BTW lets settle the UCLA/USC thing on the field. :p

There's one off the 91 fwy about 1/4 mile from the 57 fwy interchange. I don't know what city it is. Anahiem I think.

Maybe that's closer to you.
