Compusa went belly up for the same reason Fry's will eventually. Bad CS reps, and the product they carry is usually not that great of a deal vs best buy. THey just have more selection than BB. Also, I tried three "tested" product from Fry's and two were DOA. One CR-Rom (back in the day) that wouldn't spin up a drive but posted in BOIS, one stick of RAM that failed memtest like you wouldn't believe, and a punch down tool. Needless to say, I have't tried my luck with them at all, I would rather wait the time it takes to ship vs go there.
Not to mention, the price of a "restock" is usually a few dollars less, totally not worth the gamble.

Grats to you to getting more refund from that doche of a CS.

I can honestly say I never shopped in a Comp USA nor a Frys. Mainly because there were neither close to me.
