Return to sender

I bought a house 6 months ago and got a letter in the mail the other day from a previous owner. It looks like its from a collection agency. How do I send the letter back to the sender letting them know that this person does not live here any longer?

i think the post office can stamp something on it that says that, but i'm not 100% sure.
you coudl probably just write it on the envelope too.

Don't know if you can do this in the US, but in the UK I'd just write "Return to Sender - No longer at this address" and pop it back in the post box.

I usually take a black sharpie and write
Return to Sender
Addressee Unknown

across the address area.
Drop in the mail and let the PO take care of it.
