Okay, here's a tough one. I just installed Return to Castle Wolfenstein (which I like very much, by the way), and I played a few times with no problems. Just a few minutes ago, I increased the resolution from the game's default of 640x480 to 1024x768. This didn't seem to cause any problems and the game ran fine, albeit a little slow. HOWEVER, upon exiting to Windows, all of my desktop icons are screwed up. They look like they've been completely scrambled. I rebooted, and they were still messed up. I ran Windows System Restore to a point before they were screwed up and it didn't help. I turned off Active Desktop and tried resetting my background image/color depth/resolution to no avail. I re-installed my video drivers and that didn't help either. What else can I do?

I'm running Windows Me and a Voodoo 3 3000 with the latest WHQL drivers and Direct X 7.0. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do to fix it?

Are you familiar with Tweak UI? There's an option in there that will 'rebuild icons'. I've had similar problems to what you're having, and this 'rebuild icons' thing fixes and descrambles icons in a jiffy. I don't remember where to get Tweak UI off hand though...

No problem. :) TweakUI is a very handy little utility, I highly recommend getting familiar with more of its functions.
