Return tablet PC?

I got the X41 tablet as a graduation gift, with intenions for using it in my engineering classes for grad school (had it for about a week now). It turns out I hate writing on the screen, my handwritting (which is pretty bad to begin with) is exacerbated by the fact that I can't grip the stencil like I would a pencil (which is definitely not the correct way to write). Also I find the whole writing on the screen thing to be distracting causing me to divert my attention from the subject at hand..I'm pretty happy with the laptop capabilities though, so I was thinking of the X60s..

Will Lenovo even take a custom-configed laptop back? Will the batteries and stuff I ordered work with the other one, or will I have to ship that stuff back to? Am I going to regret doing this?

Like other Vendors, Lenovo now has a 21 day no questions asked return for UNOPENED systems. Used to be 30 day. Everyone else shortened theirs, and Lenovo followed.

The batteries are different for the tablet as it 1. is a tablet, and the battery is designed with the hinge placement in mind. 2. It's a 40 series machine, which by default mean any 60 series machine won't accept the same battery.

Tablets aren't for everyone. Sorry you found that out after the purchase.

damn, so it sounds like since I've been using it that I'm stuck with it..well it is a pretty nice laptop regardless, and hopefully ill find some use for the tablet functionality..maybe?

You could have fun using it as a 4 pound notebook, microsoft onenote (get the 2007 beta if you didn't get the 2003 version) is a pretty good software that works well.
