it was an interesting/new/fresh take on a +50 year-old character.

normal, run of the mill Spiderman just bores me. there's only so much I can take of stale wisecracks and Mary Jane drama.

Superior Spiderman was great. It ended rather abruptly. But, it was a good run, nonetheless.

I would like a video game to come out of it. There is tons of potential for fun.

Also,... I don't care about Amazing. I never really liked Spiderman, he is way too white bread and goodie two shoes for what he is capable of.

yeah it was a great series. wish they would have dragged it on a little longer. take spider-man farther along the "evil" path.

though i am kinda glad "parker" is back. though his BS about another person being bitten by that spider is annoying. how many spider man "clones" bs types are they going to have?

Multiple things:
The gadgets: (lens useful in tracking massacre's hostages, sonic webbing, giant mechs, spider-bots)
Moving "Peter's" life forward (Finishing his Doctorate, Parker Industries, ending his relationship with Mary Jane and getting a more interesting girlfriend)
Minions
Having a character who wasn't motivated by guilt, but by wanting to leave a legacy behind, and trying to make up for lost time with his younger body
Intelligently taking down his foes (up until goblin nation, at least)
A character who was written as being genuinely intelligent with how he approached things, both tactically and science-wise. Most times, fictional scientists just equals techno-babble, but Otto seemed genuinely intelligent with how he dealt with enemies and behind spider-man (Spider-Slayer, Massacre, Sinister Six, and the patrol app).

Ock realized Peter was better at being Spider-man, and his girlfriend was held captive by the green goblin. Ock deliberately deleted his entire memory to allow Peter to become the dominant personality, using the memory wiping machine he used to try to eliminate Peter before in issue 11(?).
