Return at best buy question...

I bought a upconvert dvd player more than 30 days ago and it started skipping and freezing up badly, so i was debating on buying the same model and doing the switcheroo and returning. But my question is, if buy it with my credit card and return it will i get a gift card back or credit to my credit card?

yah cause calling them and asking about their return policy, or checking their website, is such a bad idea.

even common sense would tell you they will credit your credit bard back as long as you have a receipt.

Make sure there isn't a serial number on the box. If there is, you'll have to swap the innards out. Been there. Not hard to do.

Not necessarily true unless they've changed things. A couple years ago I once bought something at BB with my credit card and a day or so later decided to return it. I was told that I would not be getting a charge back to my card...I had to use the amount as store credit towards something else.
