retrieve a word document.. recovery option in XP?

okay.. so my g/f just closed out word and hit don't save instead of save.... she just lost a 4 page paper-- is there anyway to get this back???
 
sorry ralli, but no. unless she had autosave enabled (check the options menu) i dont believe so.

<------did the exact same thing 20 minutes before a similar 4 page english paper was due with autosave enabled but forgot to specifiy a filename

seriously though, are you runnin office xp or what?? i think that office xp has some sort of recovery option...

umm.. well its my g/f not me. and where would the recorvy optoin be? how to use it.. i think she does have XP

hmm.. the recovery option is in the task pane.. i hate to say this.. but tell her to ask clippy.. tell her to type in "recover" and clippy should have ALL the answers.. he always does
