Is the HC not good for gaming? How much testing has there been on the 2407 and 2407-HC for ghosting and image lag?

Yeah... but.... (as per my post on the previous page)
** Are you referring to the LG L245WP 24" here? **
Sorry, I just fancy spending a silly amount of cash tomorrow and want to make sure!!
Thanks

I would spend the extra money and get something that I know is good.
I notice newegg now sells the BenQ FP241W (as opposed to the WZ) - any difference? (There's also a VW that's new and advertised for gaming, etc., but I don't like the design [bezel, etc.] at all).

I did forget to mention the BenQ has better controls, it's better looking (IMO), and it has more input options. Combined with my poor first impressions of the LG 24" and the faster response time of the BenQ, all that together is worth it for me. The LG is around $200 less here in the US so that's why I'm perplexed on whether to recommend one or the other but I don't know how the situation is in the UK. I would still be spending the extra $200 since that's just how I am. The LG really has nothing for inputs compared to the BenQ.
Edit: actually looking on Newegg, the BenQ is only $30 more. Definitely worth it here.

Hi, I just read thru the thread, but I still have some questions I'd like to ask~~
I am building a new PC with Gigabyte P35-DS3P motherboard & EVGA 8800GTS video card, but the monitor I have is an Acer AL1706 monitor - it only has the blue VGA (D-Sub) connector while neither the mobo nor the video card have the old vga connector. I'm wondering what I should do~~??

Well on Overclockers.co.uk the diff is £60 inc VAT! but on OYYY.co.uk you can save £29 on the BenQ (£499.00 inc) and std delivery is free.
At any rate I wasn't that worried about the diff in price, like you, quality counts.
My only niggle with the BenQ is the Silver Bezel... but hey it looks the best option.

Just take a look at http://video.google.co.uk/vide...&type=search&plindex=0
I wouldn't touch it based on that tbh - gaming the BenQ FP241WZ wins.
I don't know about the non-HC version.

Yeah the Z version has BFI tech - better for gaming basically. It can be turned off so get the WZ over the W if u have the cash.
Don't know about the VW....

Thanks for the advice about the NEC but I ordered the F-20 yesterday ($290USD from Tiger Direct).
I'll post back about the monitor after I get it.
Again, xtnight, thanks for the thread. I learned more reading this than I could have gotten anywhere else.

Guess that's subjective too. I love the look of that BenQ. 🙂

That test does look bad, but it was on the A00 revision. You mentioned in the OP that there is an ongoing investigation into this. Is there a newer update to this monitor?
I will have to look into tests of the non-HC version.
