Coming from someone who claims MIT-level engineering aptitude that is an extraordinarily unscientific statement. How big a site? What size jets? Moving how fast? How much energy was transferred?
At least you ought to realize that the "whole site" wasn't brought down by the jets. The jets destabilized two structures that held up 3 million tons of mass.
Someone who claims such engineering aptitude ought to have more respect for the work of other engineers, some ability to speak precisely about the forces at work, and at least a modicum of appreciation for the energy released when those two structures failed.
Watch this:

Watch it not just because it is 30 minutes of extraordinary footage, but because it clearly illustrates the scope of the disaster, and the damage caused to nearby structures when 3 million tons of suspended mass is allowed to drop to the ground.
why was norad so fail that day?
wouldn't a terrorist attack be a good reason to speed up?
I'm not an engineer but I just lived and worked in the area most of my life...
where are all of the 9/11 topics anyway?
hhahhaaaaaNo principal of the company. It was really good work and a complicated design.
I still want to bomb these guys to the ice age.
Obviously some do not remember this.

I'm still really pissed.
If you mean the Secret Service guy, "OST Bennette", he plead guilty to stealing cars that were deemed destroyed in the collapse, giving them to family members or keeping for himself.Seeing how he lists his "credentials" it reminds me of Troy McClure from The Simpsons. It's really sad.
