RETAIL p4 3.0C $226 @ ZZF (free shipping)

I think you're seeing the Feb price drops. For example, a number of online retailers have dropped their price on the P4 3.2 by almost $100 this past day or two.

Nice price. But if you're into OCing, the 2.4c or 2.6c would be a better choice they have better head room. People have been known to OC a 2.4c up to 3.2 easily using only air cooling. That being said, I am currently running the 3.0c thanks to Intel. It's OCed to a modest 3.4. Running very smooth and FAST!

Seems like newegg has it @ $229 now. Since it is virtually the same price as the retail A64 3000+ , it would be neat for Anand to write up an overclocking shootout between the two.

Agreed, my 2.4c is running at 3 w/ stock HSF. At full load it's only 58C. So if you're an OC'er I'd get the 2.4c or 2.6c. But this is a nice price nevertheless.

My vote would also be for the 2.4 or 2.6, either OC'ed at 3.0 would mean a higher FSB which would be faster than the 3.0 stock
