Retail Employees: Do NOT buy from Monster Cable

Granted, yes we do get 60% off retail products but it has been a NIGHMARE getting my products for the past 5 months (YES, 5 months)

I ordered about $200 (after discount) of cables from them in January. Around february they charged my card for the cables, but said they wouldnt ship for 2-4 weeks. 2 months later i get a card in the mail from UPS saying that they couldnt deliver my cables due to an incorrect address (ironically enough, the card they sent to inform me of the incorrect address was ITSELF addressed to the incorrect address). It took the card nearly 2 weeks after the shipment was attempted to make it to me. After numerous calls, they sent the package out again only to have the same result, wrong address....

FINALLY, today, the package (on their 3rd trip) makes it here...

Guess What? 2/7 cables are missing. Not even showing up on the invoice. Even though i paid for all of them 5 months ago.

Is it to late to call my credit card to dispute the charges? This is insane.

UPDATE - Just called the rep again, i STILL HAVENT GOTTEN THE LAST TWO CABLES!!! Were going on 7 months now!!!!!!!!!!!! No apology, no nothing. He just told me he dosent know what happened and he will try to ship them out again..... FREAKING C'MON NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why didnt you just buy them at your store??? Its usually cheaper for me to just buy the stuff at my store than to bother going through the manufacturer. Well the exception there is Polk....mmmm....Polk discounts

We dont get a very good discount at CC unfortunately (Monster Cable is decent, but not as good).... In hindsight, i would have paid more to avoid this crap.

no, it is not too late to call the credit card company.
they will reverse the charge on your card, take the money back from the Monster Cable and give them a certain amount of time to refute the reversal. If they do not dispute it, you do not get recharged. If they do refute the reversal, they can only do it thru their bank. IT is their bank talking to the credit card company, and they have to have proof that you got what you were supposed to, when you were supposed to in the working order you were supposed to.

Look on the back of your credit card statement, it will tell you how to go about requesting a reversal of charges.

Yeah, thats why I dont even bother to try with the manufacturers any more. Now I just wait for stuff to go discontinued and buy it way below cost (latest grab: 17" LCD for $150)

I would call your monster rep and talk to him about the whole thing, if you can. I am not sure how that works with your guys. But he would be more concerned about your order than anyone else.

Can the reverse portions of a charge? I got some of the cable, just not all of it.... :|

To be honest... I would just pack it all up, return it (with proof, of course) and do an entire reversal. Makes it less "messy". However, if you call the credit card company they will best advise you.

I would really call your rep before you did that. Chances are your rep can have the missing cables shipped out very quickly. Returning them will most likely cause a bigger mess.

Call your credit card company and ask.

Personally, I would have disputed the charges as soon as I got my credit card bill in the mail.
