at a computer show today, there was a duron 800 oem for $80, and the kt7a-raid for $157 ( both w/o tax ). needless to say, my setup is at 1064 and still pushing...

Why do people want the Retail version? After all, if you are buying a Duron, there's a 99% chance you are going to overclock which will void the warranty anyway. OEM versions come with 15 day warranties or so, and all you really need is 1 day to test it before overclocking.

Why do I buy retail?
It's cheaper than oem at online retailer using coupon.
It comes with good heatsink and fan.
The one I got has L1 brigde connected.
Even I burn the cpu, I can try to claim warranty replacement.
This is US, get replacement is easy, they don't care if the thing is damaged by yourself, they just send you a refurb. immediately, some even pay for both way shipping like Ericsson (I've done once for a mobile phone).

This is a discussion of HOT deals, and if somebody else says it isn't, why is that unacceptable?

I have a question. When I try to place an order, it comes up as 63. I get shipping as 7.60. Is there some coupon or free shipping or something going on? Or is it lower shipping for your part of country?
