Retail AMD 3500+ 90nm $285 shipped

It looks like an ok deal, but whats the shipping, and reseller ratings? You need to check that.

Ground shipping included. But did you see the "quantity pricing" cost? It's $4 higher per unit than the single-unit price. Cute.

Keep in mind this is the winchester 90nm boxed version (with 3 year warranty I belive) of the AMD 3500+ 64 cpu. So its a fairly good price. I think newegg is something like $40 more.

Resellerratings lifetime is 8 and 6 month is 7.5 so apparently this is a ok company to buy from.

It is $285 if you buy just one. However, if you buy 5 or more you get a "discount," and the price is $289 each. hmmmm.?

yeah there is a $60 difference between the newcastle and winchester cores on newegg.. $265 130nm - $325 90nm both for retail versions.. crazy the price differences between companies ..the say the supply is really low for these right now which is killing me because i need to order on in the next day or so...

monarch had the oem 3500+ 90nm one for 264 like 2 days ago from what i remember.... they had the best cpu prices but they been raising it LIKE ALOT lately due to limited supply

But again, Monarch's $264 is the OEM price. No heat sink. No fan. 30-day warranty. $285 is the retail version. Compared with what the price has been of late, $285 is good (though still not a cost-effective on a price-performance basis). Another reseller recently listed the the Winnie 3500+ retail at $290, a good trend. Perhaps it will come down to realistic levels in the next month or so.
