I hooked up the MC2 last night and tried out a little V-Rally and Crazy Taxi. V-Rally seems very hard to control with the MC2, regardless of how I set it up in-game or Accudrive. Too much oversteer. Anyone get it working right?

Crazy Taxi with the MC2 is just like playing in the arcade. I can't believe I got this wheel for $20. It is extremely well-built, and the LEDs are really cool. It's worth $20 just for Crazy Taxi 1/2 alone.

You guys are refreshing my memory. A couple of years ago I bought PS1 for my son. Since we like racing, I bought 2 MC wheels and pedals and prepared to have some fun. But when we tried to play it was impossible to control the cars. It seemed that immediatly the car would start to fishtale back and forth and then crash. I tried to adjust the sensitivity to the minimum but no good. So I brought the wheels back.

Yep, on the MC2 I either fishtail as though I'm racing an SUV, or the wheel is not responsive enough, or the car maintains it's turn after I've straightened it out. I'm gonna figure it out even if it kills me. :disgust:

TallGeese: What's the LED settings on the MC2 you have at home?

I was just browsing Walmart.com and they have MDK2 for $9.96. I was looking for it at this price a few weeks ago but a fellow Anandtecher helped me at that time. :)

Just thought I would pass this on..hopefully it's still in stock by the time you read this.

Link to MDK2...Hopefully this link works!

I was down at the Frys on Palo Alto this lunchtime, and noticed they had a couple of stacks of the bleem! Packs for Tekken3 & MGS on the top shelf on the right hand side of their (rapidly shrinking) DreamCast section. I don't know how hard they are too find elsewhere, just thought folks might be interested.

I know I really shouldn't request for stuff, but I'm going crazy trying to decide.

I need 2 arcade sticks, however, there are so many i dont know which ones are good or bad.
If someone can help me make a decision, please let me know.
The HOng Kong companies are offering 8 button ones, but i'm betting i would hit those last two buttons a lot and they would be a pain in the ass if i didn't program them to anything. I don't know about the reliablity of those companies.

Please, can anyone help? ;)
thanks

littleman- Don't know if the exact stick you're looking at is listed here, but I've been looking up game and accessory reviews at the following site:

Sounds like the game is too much of a sim for you. ;) I thought that the feel of the car was pretty spot on (not that I've driven a ton of Ferrari's or anything). What I love about F355 Challenge is that it takes more than just hammering the gas and keeping it on the road to win. You actually have to watch your race line, braking, turning accelerating, etc.. And sure the rear end will step out if you give a 300+ hp rwd car a little too much gas in a turn.

This post may not appeal to some folks, but for anyone even REMOTELY interested in Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram, you better listen up!

I found a domestic source for the OFFICIAL Sega Twin Stick controller, Toysnjoys.com.
They sell the DC Twin Stick for $99.99.
You can PM using AMEX Blue with Game Choice Club for $75.
Toysnjoys.com will ship via "UPS Ground" anywhere in the US (TNJ is located in Hawaii) for $16

SO...I was able to get a NEW, OFFICIAL DC Twin Stick shipped for a hair less than $92!
That is an absolutely amazing price for this rare controller (only 10,000 ever made, and only released in Japan).
And, if you are a VOOT fan, this is virtually (no pun intended) the ONLY way to get acceptable gameplay with this STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL title.

This might be what you're looking for. It's made for the PC but you can get a DC adapter for it.

littleman (heh...always makes me think of that SNL skit from about 7 years ago..."Tiny Elvis"):

You might want to look into something like this:

<< 29.00 = DC Mini Twin Stick (Mini dual arcade stick; NOT a replacement for the Twin Stick for Virtual On: Oratorio Tangran) = hk-ems.com (see "Import Sources" below) >>

Not sure an overseas source is worth pursuing.
Usually BIG $$$ for shipping, and scary payment requirements oftentimes.
No idea about quality on this unit, either.

Found yet another steering wheel for the DC:

McLaren Steering Wheel for Dreamcast for $34.95 at RedOctane.com.
You can also add 3 racing games (Sega GT, Tokyo Extreme Racer & San Francisco Rush 2049) for another $29.95.
This wheel include a shifter that may be gated (hard to tell from picture).

If any one has ever used this wheel set and has anything to say about it (good or bad), please post it to this thread.
