Resume writing...Wanna critique mine?

Hey ATOT! What would be the best way to write that I've operated an in-home business over the past few years...it's not exactly formal or anything. I don't have a name for the business, but I do have a lot of clients/friends that call for technical help, virus removal, hardware upgrades, network/server issues, etc.

Anyways, how can I write this for a resume? Any good ways of wording such a practice/business?

Thanks!!!

The normal method is:

1/2003-12/2004 YourNameHere Tech
Consultant, PC Repair and technical help

You can use fancier words if you want, but the experienced resume reader will know exactly what you're talking about.

Cool! I'm working really hard to get this resume right...I'm applying for an intern/part-time position at a tech company that works closely with an insurance company...benefits are INSANE in the long-term, but for now, it kicks the poop out of where I'm at currently. 😉

Anyways, would you like a copy of my resume to check it out after I've worded it the way I think it should be?

Given your handle, I'm sure you can come up with some constructive ways of describing your experience in seducing women, driving fast cars and saving the world. Not to mention the fact that you look great in a tuxedo with a shaken not stirred vodka martini in your hand. 😉

Hahaha! Why thank you for the flattering comments, but I must say that I'm sorry...I don't swing that way! 😉 😛

Change help to support

If you have networking experience, also indicate it.

For the job title, I just wrote "Self-Employed Computer Technician", followed by my abilities.

And yes, I have listed my networking abilities a couple times throughout the resume. (CCNA courses, too)

you write your resume for the position you are applying for.

that is all.

As far your original question, just say "independant consultant"
