for a specific type of job.

for most jobs, even he acknowledged resumes should be between 1-3 pages.

As someone who has never hired or been in a position to hire another individual, my comments are: way too long. Nominally I'd say 1 page should be the limit, but you have enough experience that 2 might be acceptable. Either way, you need to make it much more concise. Start with experience. Narrow down your bullet points for each job to maybe 3 bullets at most. Focus on the important things you did in each position, not everything you might have done. Your skills list needs to be about 1/3 as long as it is at most. Linux and MacOS don't need to be on their own lines. They really don't need to know that you've used Netscape before. The MCP logo at the top looks cheesy. Your dashes are of varying lengths: some are hyphens, some are em-dashes, none are en-dashes (many that need to be aren't). Learn the difference and make 'em consistent. I don't know if it's standard to completely drop education at some point, but I don't think it is. I'd include it somewhere, even if it's very short.

Agreed. No more than 1 page. Way too many bullets. And wheres the education info?

Great feedback thanks. I have left my education off since I never attended college, actually I dropped out of high school in my sophomore year and got my GED.

That resume needs to lose some weight. I'd cut out everything except maybe 2 of the best positions and add education info.

even though I really do not have any education info to list?

i think you have too many bullets

No one's going to read all those bullets..condense them to like 5 max per job so that your resume will be one single page
Add another section or two (education, certification/honors/skills, etc)

My (class of 08) resume has Education, Work History, Volunteer Work, Activities/Honors, and Skills sections. I used to have an Objective section but I removed it altogether.

Since you do not have any education information I would try to condense your resume down to one page. I think you have too much white space between job; I would shrink it down and if you want to visually break it apart add in some horizontal bars. I would also narrow down the left box that has the "Work History" items.

Didn't read any other comments but I can assume they probably say the same three things I'm going to say:

- Objective is pretty much generic bullshit and I found myself just thinking "blah blah blah" about 5 words in.
- Didn't get the point with your job descriptions... or achievements... or whatever those large masses of text were.
- The whole thing looks and flows like a total trainwreck.

At the risk of coming across as a total dick, I did an edit of your resumé based on how I read it. Please don't take it as me being a jerk, I only made it to illustrate that there are many, many bullet points in your resumé that sound generally unimpressive or would be lost if it was handled by someone in HR.

edit: one other small touch... don't abbreviate job titles. It makes your job sound less significant. Obviously you want to use some discretion here as writing out things like programming languages isn't ideal, but "IMAC" to me is a computer by apple. The point I'm trying to make is that you don't know the level of competence the person handling your resumé will have.

Nope not a dick, this is why I put this out there. I always felt my resume was lacking and thanks to you guys for confirming. To answer one of your questions about only being there 6 months, the company closed up shop. The owner pissed off his investors, they pulled their cards and it was utter failure. Was really interesting to see how the owner's ego destroyed the company, the one thing he was so proud of.I have thought before about leaving that off, but I already have one large gap in my timeline.
