Just curious... what payscale should I be looking at? how much do you think I should make considering my work history and education? I currently live in South Jersey but I'm considering a move to North Jersey, to attend Rutgers for my bachelors.

Resume

Also, is my resume decent? Any recommendations?

I'd say $30K in South Jersey, $40K in North.

Yeah, ~40k.

Remove the 'or' from and/or dsl....I'm assuming the resolution rate wasn't exactly 98.0% so make it >98%...I assume you know 2003 so make it 200x....Linux with a capital L, move the M$ Office line below the HTML/PHP/MySQL line.

$20k just because that place you work at sucks. ;)

My previous gig had 3 servers colocated at your place. Customer service wasn't too friendly.

I would add more about that B.A philosophy thing or remove it. It seems out of place. Formatting is weird too.

The person I spoke to had an accent and told me tech support wasn't available until 10:30 (I had called around 9). In addition, told me I had the wrong line and that I needed to call back in. I asked which number should I call and he said "call the same number and ask for tech support." I called back at 10:30 and sure enough he picked up the phone and said he was tech support. WTF

Yeah, we're there from 10-5, and we outsource when we're not there. That guy really doesn't know much, so don't blame him, they don't handle co-location. Hmm... 3 servers. I think i know what company you worked for... You guys had very special needs for your co-lo ;), but didn't call much.

Instead of saying "Proficient in Networking" under hardware skills, you should really have better examples of the types of network hardware that you've worked on.

Looking at what we my company pays in general for those positions, I'd say low to mid 30's.

haha ... good to know ... yea, our needs are pretty crazy and thats why many of the servers out in the fields end up in ppl's home. Most real colos would charge us too much money. good luck with your job search.
