Yes I gutted the stock bracket. The high flow bracket was never installed. I just waited until I received it before touching the stock bracket in case I wanted to sell the gtx 680 in the future or needed to send it in for RMA.
Sorry guys but I don't really want to bother putting in the high flow bracket just to test it. As that would mean pulling my comp from under my desk at least another 2 times. I would guess at 75% to 77% fan speed you would see a 1-2c drop with it though. And you would need to pump the fan to the max 85% to see a 3c drop that evga advertises.
