restroom etiquette question

Here's the scenario at my place of work:

There are 3 stalls, the furthest stall (3rd one) being larger than all because it was designed for the handicapped. If you enter the restroom and notice that the 1st stall is taken, what do you do?!?! Take the 3rd stall knowing that you could quite well inconvience a handicapped person to wait on you? Suck it up and quietly take the 2nd stall? Or go to a new floor altogether and hope to find a bathroom with no stalls taken? Or is there another option?!

Since it's at work, you have a good idea of what the odds of a handicapped person needing that stall are. Is it likely?

I thought it was OK to take stalls next to each other....urinals on the other hand need a 1 space buffer zone :)

This is my thinking. I use the non-handicap stalls first but if that's my only choice and I gotta go ...

I used a handycapped stall today at Fred Meyer. It was the farthest from the urinals. :p

I did have the thought, "What if..."... That would've sucked!

I would use the handicapped stall or search for another bathroom. So far nobody in a wheelchair has ever tried to use one when I was in there. Plus they usually have a nice, roomy area with their own sink. It's nicer than the regular stalls. :D

The handicapped stall is not a handicapped only device. If a handicapped person has to wait that's part of the public facilities gamble.

Now parking spaces are a different matter.

The cleanest stall remaining of course.

One time I was working at a plant, and had eaten Mexican a few hours before. Well, it was time... so I went to the bathroom and noticed that only one stall (the center one) was available. From the flipping of pages you knew they were plant workers goofing off.

So I went in the center stall, and let loose. I've never heard people run so fast out of a stall! LOL!

Theres no problem taking the 3rd stall, unlessyou know there is a high chance of a handicapped person coming. And no reasont o get embarrased either. Its accomodated for a handicapped person, doesnt mean someone who isn't handicapped can't use it.

Yeah that's what I was thinking... I never think twice about using the handicapped stall, I've never even seen a handicapped person in a public restroom.
