You know when you go to a hotel and plug into their network. Many of them now require you to digitally sign a disclaimer basically saying you will not do anything illegal and if you do you won't hold them liable?

I have a couple of places I want to implement this but can't find any information on it. At first I thought it was just a proxy but I know in hotels it's total network access.

I'm looking for both home brew solutions (for a few places I want to do this myself) as well as commercial solutions (ideas for at work) and would really appreciate any help I can get.

took a look on google and couldnt find anything, my guess is they had it made for them by a small software firm. It wouldnt be paticularly hard to modify a proxy to host web pages in which using the web pages could alter your access to gain further net access.

Does anyone know a way that this can be done (or even a term that I can search for). I've looked for hours and can't find a single reference. :(

there are tons of products that do just this.

It works with a proxy and you setup the network (switches, wireless, etc) to direct any and all traffic to the proxy.

try hotel network security proxy
