Restaurant suggestions for Dayton/Mason, Ohio area?

Anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in that area? I'm headed there on business with a coworker tomorrow. We normally fly through Cinci but to avoid the regional jet/sky high airfare, are going through Dayton instead.

We were looking for a couple of good restaurants (any cuisine) in that area. Price range - no specified price range, long as the food is good. ($15-50 a dish is fine, a wine list would be great if they had one)

We were trying to avoid driving all the way to downtown Cinci (normally hit up Jeff Ruby's downtown). If anyone had any suggestions that'd be great, thanks 🙂

I live in Mason and work in Cincinnati. If you want to avoid downtown Cincy and still eat at an nice place, your best bet is probably on Union Center off of I-75 between Cincy and Dayton, Jags . There are chains off the Tylersville exit as well.

There really isn't much more than chains in Mason, it's more of a bedroom community. Mason is mostly off I-71 and the most places to eat are at or around Deerfield Towne Center

eddie Merlots as well

Its been a long time since I lived in maineville. I remember eating at great places, but sadly, I do not remember their locations or names.

Sonic? I don't think there is much more. 20 Mile House/Stand goes through so many owners that that place has to be crappy.

Oooh both two good suggestions. Looks like someone else here already recommended Bootsy's to my other coworker (he's driving). I'll keep those in mind though. Thanks 🙂

There's Montgomery Inn (ribs) and Ruby's Carlo & Johnny in Montgomery. $15-20 sounds hopeful at any of Ruby's places, though.

Mont. Inn is seriously overrated. Maybe northeners like ribs diff than we do in the south. We had a whole table of Texans try it and say it was garbage. That was just our opinion though. 🙂

Booty's is actually co-owned by Jeff Ruby and is located in downtown Cincy.

Heck, I'd be happy with finding the local Skyline. Like mentioned above, either Union Centre or Deerfield Towne Center off of 71 in Mason. If you do come down I75, you can always stop at the Miamisburg exit for the Dayton Mall. There are a lot of restaurants there as well.

Oh how I miss that area.

Looks like Ruby owns a lot of places, including that Carlo & Johnny. 🙂 It's great looking at the wall of celebs at his signature steakhouse. 🙂
