I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother-in-law. I too am very close with my BiL.

Though his body has died, Keith's soul will live on forever and you shall meet again on the other side.

I am very sad that these diseases happen. Maybe some day, we will find a cure for it all and not have to suffer these pains.

A family friend of mine passed last year from ALS so I know how brutal of a disease it is. Like you said OP, its sad to watch the person decline to basically just a shell of who they were. My condolences for your loss.
