[RESOLVED] Mass Storage Controller - Can't find driver!

Hi,

I am running Windows 7 x86 Professional.

Motherboard is Asus P5GDC-V Deluxe.

Intel chipset identification utility says,

Intel® 915 Express Chipset Family.
Memory Controller is 82915G
I/O Controller is Intel® 82801FR I/O controller hub (ICH6R)
Integrated Graphics is Intel® 82915G/82910GL/82915GV/82910GL Express Chipset Family

I am missing one device driver in device manager, "Mass Storage Controller"

Hardware IDs are,
PCI\VEN_1283&DEV_8212&SUBSYS_813A1043&REV_13
PCI\VEN_1283&DEV_8212&SUBSYS_813A1043
PCI\VEN_1283&DEV_8212&CC_018000
PCI\VEN_1283&DEV_8212&CC_0180

So the question is what driver do I need to install? I have searched high and low but no joy.

Cheers 🙂

You could try running the utility on the Intel driver download page here, Alternately, you can download the driver package infinst911autol.exe here. Run it with the -aonly -p <path> switches and it will extract the needed drivers for your system to the designated folder.

Edit: This is assuming the missing driver is for the ICH6R southbridge.

Tried that already with no joy!

I looked at your Motherboard's specs and it has an ITE IT8212F RAID controller on-board besides the Intel ICH6R. Try the 1.7.2.9 driver here. A discussion is here that a guy claims it works in 7.
