I recently put Win XP on my laptop, which by the way has a native LCD resolution of 1600x1200. I run all my games on it at 1024x768, because for one, some of my RTS games don't go higher than that, and two, I don't think my GeForce 2 Go will run FPS games that hot at such a high resolution. Needless to say, whenever I play a game now and it changes the resolution, I get a little Windows warning popup that says something to the effect of: "This is display's optimal resolution is 1600x1200. Displaying at current resolution can result in blurry images and text. It is recommended that you change the resolution to equal the display's optimal one" (something like that). I know this is a Win XP thing, because it never happened before I put XP on my laptop, and I've only had it happen in games (since that is all I run that will change the resolution).
I was wondering if anyone knows how to disable this. It is quite annoying, though it does dissappear on its own in a short amount of time. Hopefully someone knows.
