i have a new dell e521 with a geforce 7300le turbocache video card and am using xp home with a view sonic va1912wb monitor, I am unable to get to 1440x990 like I previously had before on my old compaq with my onboard intel graphics.

i installed the latest va1912wb monitor and the latest nforce drivers and I cannot get 1440x990 , If I do anything higher then 1152x864 the text becomes blurry and blocky.

anyone have any ideas or expieriences with this? Thanks

A few questions:
Same monitor between both computers?
VGA or DVI?
Amount of onboard gfx memory and amount of system memory dedicated to card?
Can your power supply handle the card? (should be able to, isn't particularly hungry card)

Same monitor yes.

DVI, I have tryed vga as well same results.

it has 128 on board and up to 128 of system memory.

power supply can handle it, the card came with the dell.

at this point i cannot get higher then 1152.x864 using nforce drivers and the va1912wb driver, if i remove the driver i can go higher but it's blurry, i called viewsonic and they said that's the limitation of the video card, but i cant imagine a geforce 7300le has a max resoloution of 1152x864
