Making a poll to see what res the high end AT'ers are gaming at nowdays.

If you dont see poll right away wait a few min while i figure out how to add one, assuming i do figure it out 🙂

i use 1600x1200! 4:3 FTW!

LOL, I use that same resolution at work. The helpdesk guy looked at me weird when I asked for the monitor that had this and he said most people wanted widescreen displays. With the work I do, I love the 4:3 aspect ratio.

Weighing in at 1680x1050, surprised to see I'm in the minority and at the low end of the spectrum. Clearly I'm doing it wrong 😛

Love my Dell 2209WA, though. So hard to find a really nice screen that doesn't break the bank.

I know how you feel, im at 1920x1080 and feel like getting a secondary display for more room, i really want to go 30" 2560x1600 but im not made of money and it would take some serious GPU power to play at that res with the settings im used to, let alone the 1G+ for the display.

Using 1920*1200.. you can take my extra 120 pixels from my cold dead hands.

I also have a secondary 1680*1050 but generally it never sees "games" unless I'm really bored and playing civ and wow at the same time... Go internet browser display!

Bumping this to see if we can get more results... With everyone talking about insane resolutions recently I want to know if my 1680x1050 is outdated already.

I use a 27 inch iMac so of course insane resolution for me. The screen's why I got it 🙂. I know the graphics in Mac is usually behind thew newest PC due to the integrated nature etc. But man, doing my photo editing and watching movies on that screen is a real pleasure.

Yeah it's not fast in games. But there's more to life than games.

I cannot answer the poll...

my monitor is 1920x1200. Many games I run at that resolution.
Some games I run at 1920x1080 to benefit from hor+ FOV
some games I run at 1680x1050 because it allows to enable graphic options that make a bigger difference in quality then higher resolution and video card is not fast enough to do so at higher res.
some games I run are old and limited to lower resolution, I run at their highest resolution and stretch (while maintaining aspect ratio) to fit the screen as best they could (black bars either horizontally or vertically)

ok, i went ahead and voted 1920x1200 because that is the resolution I run most games.

Why didn't you just include all the normal options in this poll? Why stop at 1920x1200 rather than just list 2560x1600 and 2560x1440? Instead of bottoming out at 1366x768 why not include 1280x800?

It would be interesting to see what the split is between 2560x1600 and 1440
