Resolution of ubuntu in Virtual Box

Well, i hav installed ubuntu in the virtual box, based on windows 7... after the install, i had the resolution of ubuntu set to 1024*780.... but after the reboot, it fell to 800*600... well... is it possible to increase the resolution to my normal windows stage??? i mean, to 1366*786????? this is in virtual box!!!

Just install the guest additions that come with VirtualBox. Once they are installed, all you have to do is change the size of the window and the guest OS desktop dynamically resizes on the fly to whatever size you drag the window to. It's actually even better this way because you aren't locked into any specific list of sizes. That means you can, for instance, dock the VB OS on the side of your Win 7 monitor and do other stuff on the other side of the monitor. The OS will automatically resize the guest desktop to be tall and narrow to match 1/2 of you win 7 screen.

I played around with that but it only works in windowed mode. If you go fullscreen, it does not work which means that it looks right but the buttons and menus of Ubuntu are actually not there where they are displayed.
I assume it is a virtual box issue.

It definitely works for fullscreen mode.

I have no issues for Ubuntu/Suse/Windows resolution. Once the guest additions are installed anyway. And this is on multiple computers.

I tried lookin for the guest additions... But due to lack of time, couldnt find them... could anyone please give me the link, or atleast tell where they can be found please??? 😵
